During the five days from April 10, to April 14, 2018, the Institute of Organic Agricultural Economics conducted a survey on effective agricultural practices and signed important credit agreements in Taiwan. The Institute of Organic Agricultural Economics was accompanied by VIPD Group, Sunny World Investment and Development Joint Stock Company, Lavifood Joint Stock Company, Vietnam Agricultural Development Company (DAVN) and other related organizations.
On April 11, the delegation had an opportunity to visit the hi-tech agricultural model combining community tourism – YesHealth iFarm – in Taoyuan. This is considered an ideal model for future agriculture and has great potential to make it come true in Vietnam.

On the same day, the delegation visited Taoyuan Agricultural Exhibition Fair 2018 in Taoyuan. The 30-hectare fair consisted of exhibition, entertainment, food services arranged scientifically and professionally.

On April 12, 2018, the delegation visited cooperative models in Van Lam district, including the Huan Kuan Vegetable and Fruit Production Cooperative. Founded in 1989, Huan Kuan Cooperative is now learned and visited by many Taiwanese and international political and diplomatic missions. Huan Kuan cooperative applied high technology in production, management to best control the production process, bring quality products to consumers.

On April 13, 2018, the delegation met the head of the Vietnam Cultural and Economic Office in Taipei – Mr. Tran Duy Hai and Chairman of Taiwan Agribank -Mr. Wu Ming-Ming. The upcoming Cooperative Alliance Conference in Hanoi and future cooperation opportunities were discussed. After the meeting, Mr. Le Thanh, General Director of the Institute of Organic Agricultural Economics, sent invitation letters of the conference to Mr. Wu Ming-Ming and hoped that this would be an opportunity for both sides to understand each other better as well as to facilitate long-term cooperation.

On the same day, the delegation visited Guan Nan Biotechnology Fruti Processing and Know-you-seed factory in Kaohsiung City as well. Representatives from Know-you-seed said they were willing to transfer the technology of producing and storing seeds to Vietnamese people and support Vietnamese agriculture when necessary.

Before finishing the trip in Taiwan, the delegation had dinner with Mr. Jack S.Y. Lin – President of Taiwan Eximbank – and senior leaders of Taiwan’s leading companies in construction and infrastructure. At the intimate meeting, the parties had a chance to talk frankly about each other’s projects, cooperative methods and future cooperative opportunities, which are the foundation of credit cooperation agreements.

The results achieved after the trip in the field of credit cooperation, technology transfer and agricultural materials have promised to open a new page for Vietnam agriculture in the direction of green, clean and sustainable production. This not only helps to improve the lives of farmers, but also helps Vietnamese agriculture catch up with quality standards in the world.
