On April 19, 2017, Minister of Industry and Trade, Tran Tuan Anh, participated in Binh Thuan Investment Promotion Conference in 2017 organized by Binh Thuan People’s Committee.
The meeting was an opportunity for investors to meet leaders of the province, to solve difficulties and problems in the investment process, to study investment information of specific projects. From the opinions of investors, enterprises and delegates will help the province find mechanisms and policies to develop strongly and to improve the investment environment.
The conference participants included Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and representatives from the Ministries of Industry and Trade; Planning and Investment; Finance; Defense; Environment and Natural Resources, Culture, Sports and Tourism; Agriculture and Rural Development; Construction; Transportation and Government Offices.
Besides the meeting, Minister of Industry and Trade, Tran Tuan Anh, together with the leaders of the Ministry of Planning and Investment awarded approval of investment intention to some enterprises about investment projects including Hoa Thang 1 wind power plant; Hoa Phong 1 and 2 solar power plants; Ham Tien – Mui Ne Tourist Service Center; High-tech farming complex for cow raising and dairy products.
In addition, Minister Tran Tuan Anh, the Prime Minister, leaders of Ministries and Provincial Party Committee, People’s Committee of Binh Thuan province witnessed the signing ceremony of investment memorandum of enterprises including some investors in energy sector.
Binh Thuan province is located in the South Central Coast, adjacent to the southern key economic region, nearly 200 km from Ho Chi Minh City.
Transport infrastructure of this province is being acceleratingly invested. Accordingly, the national route from Ho Chi Minh City to Phan Thiet was upgraded and expanded; Dau Giay – Phan Thiet and Phan Thiet – Nha Trang express ways have started. Arriving and departing from Binh Thuan can take the 5-star Ho Chi Minh City – Phan Thiet tourist train. Vinh Tan dedicated port has been constructed to build two combined wharves for 30,000 DWT ships and a wharf for ships up to 3,000 DWT. Phan Thiet airport project has started in Thien Nghiep commune, Phan Thiet.
With the coastline of 192 km, Binh Thuan has many beautiful beaches, pristine white sand hills, and fresh climate. There are many attractive natural landscapes such as Ham Tien-Mui Ne, Thuan Quy – Ke Ga, Ta Cu Mountain, Ham Thuan – Da Mi, Vinh Hao – Ca Na, Bau Trang, Thac Ba, Ong Moutain. Besides that, Binh Thuan also has some famous historical and cultural relics such as Po Shanu Cham Tower, Ta Cu Mountain Pagoda, Tham Thim Temple, Hang Pagoda.
The province expects that through the conference, there will be many enterprises and investors interested in investing in Binh Thuan, to help the province become an attractive destination for domestic and foreign investors.
