In the morning of May 2nd, 2017, at Thanh Duc commune, Go Dau District, Tay Ninh Province, Lavifood Jst. Company hosted the groundbreaking ceremony of Tanifood fruit and vegetable processing plant.
Groundbreaking Ceremony of Plant
Using the modern technology production line from Germany, Sweden, Italy, and Japan, Tanifood factory will produce frozen fruit, juice, dried fruit, soft-dried fruit, condensed fruit juice which are expected to meet the international standards for domestic and international consumption in markets such as the US, Europe, Korea, Japan, and Australia, etc.
Specifically, there will be a production line for fresh fruit and vegetables at Tanifood factory that has heat-treated process with the volume of 10,000 tons per year, frozen food production line with the volume of 20,000 tons per year, as well as the dried, soft-dried, and freeze dried production line with the volume of 5,000 per year. There will also be the production line for juice with the volume as follows: condensed fruit juice with 6,000 tons per year, canned fruit juice with 144 million cans per year, PET bottled fruit juice with 230 bottles and 72 million glass bottles, Tetrapak cardboard box of 144 million boxes per year.
According to Mr. Pham Ngo Quoc Thang, CEO of Lavifood Jst. Company, by the end of 2018, Tanifood factory will start operating fully, using 500 tons of raw fruit ingredients each day including mango, passion fruit, pineapple, dragon fruit, etc. In order to meet the need for raw ingredients of the factory, Lavifood has cooperated with many farmers in the region to create the fruit and vegetable value chain. The factory will ensure to collect all of the products from the farmers in this value chain.
Mr. Thang also said Lavifood would invest in 4 more fruit and vegetable processing factories with the equivalent production volume after Tanifood, helping to make Tay Ninh “the capital”” of fruit and vegetable processing for domestic and export market.
On the occasion of this ceremony, the head of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development Mr. Nguyen Xuan Cuong delivered a speech about Tanifood, saying that despite of the small investment required, the opening of Tanifood marked a very important stepping stone in the improvement of Tay Ninh economy, especially in restructuring agriculture in terms of 3 aspects of developing agriculture value chain, global economic integration, and building highlighted model in Tay Ninh.
Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Cuong had a speech
Mr. Cuong suggested that Lavifood should continue working with the local authorities and farmers to expand the ingredient-supplying zone, creating more co-operative and small business models for farmers.
